Step inside the world of renowned Mornington Peninsula artist John Baird with a special curator’s floor talk at MPRG.
Join guest curator Rodney James and Acting Curator Rebecca Owens as they discuss the intricacies of The Authentic Consequence, the first major survey of Baird’s incredible forty-year career.
Discover how Baird’s practice has evolved from his early days at Melbourne’s legendary Roar Studios to the striking new works created especially for this exhibition. See how his paintings, collages, sculptures, and hand-built furniture come together and explore the inspirations and stories that drive his creative process.
This is a rare opportunity to hear from the curatorial team about Baird’s artistic journey, the making of this landmark exhibition and why his work continues to resonate so strongly today.
This is a free event, however please register your attendance so we know you are joining us.
Note also that Nuno's Coffee van will be open for light refreshments before & after the talk.
