WORLD-CLASS MUSICIANS RETURN HOME FOR “BRIDGING THE GAP” CONCERT
Presented by Suncrest United Methodist Church and WVU Extension Retirees
Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 7:30 pm at Suncrest United Methodist Church
Suncrest United Methodist Church and the West Virginia University Extension Retirees are proud to present “Bridging the Gap,” the acclaimed violin and double bass duo of Peter Wilson and Aaron Clay, in a concert open to the entire community.
Celebrating nearly 30 years of performances, Bridging the Gap seamlessly blends classical, jazz, folk, film music, funk, popular song, and Big Band, creating a program as diverse as it is inspiring.
Both Wilson and Clay are distinguished alumni of “The President’s Own” U.S. Marine Band, performing across the nation and around the globe. Wilson — a former Morgantown resident and senior enlisted music advisor to the White House — has performed for five U.S. Presidents in venues from Camp David to Carnegie Hall to the Vatican. Clay — a Fairmont native — served 31 years in the Marine Band as Principal Bassist and Section Leader, appearing with legends such as Aretha Franklin and Joe Williams, while also holding principal positions with several major orchestras.
