Starting in 2026, WVABLE is expanding to help even more people, and we are going on tour across the state to increase awareness and understanding about the change.
Landmark federal legislation, the ABLE Age Adjustment Act, is set to take effect on January 1, 2026, raising the disability age of onset for eligibility from age 26 to 46. This significant change will allow WVABLE to help tens of thousands more West Virginians whose disability occurred at a later age.
Who should attend?
- Potential account holders and family members – learn about the upcoming eligibility changes and how you can prepare.
- Partner organizations and advocates – learn how the change affects the individuals you work with and how you can help us inform them and increase awareness about the change.
- Anyone interested in learning about WVABLE savings program – whether you are learning about WVABLE for the first time or already familiar and interested in learning about updates and enhancements to the program.
Registration is required as seating is limited.
Light refreshments will be served.
