Pinewood Derby
We’re excited to announce the FBC Moreland Awana Grand Prix, featuring pinewood derby cars created by our Awana kids! 🏁
📅 Race Day: Saturday, February 28 at FBC Moreland Fellowship Hall
⏰ Time: Races kick off at 9:00 AM
☕ Enjoy: Coffee and doughnuts while you cheer them on!
Come watch your children race against one another as they compete for the Top Speed Trophy. 🎉
🏅 Medals will also be awarded for Best Design, so creativity counts!
Car Building Details
The children will work on their pinewood derby cars during Awana Recreation Time on Wednesday evenings:
February 4
February 11
February 25
🚫 No Awana on February 18 due to Winter Break.
✂️ Cars will be cut out on Wednesday, February 4.
Children are encouraged to start brainstorming their car designs now and may bring any decorations or materials they’d like to use. Some materials will be provided for use. There are lots of fun and creative ideas available on Pinterest for inspiration!
We can’t wait to see the creativity and cheer on our racers. It’s going to be a great event for the whole family!
