About the event

"What's That Light in the Sky?"
As we enter the 11 year peak cycle of the aurora borealis, what better time to learn a bit more about the night sky? Join us on Friday September 19th at 7:00 pm at the Timothy Eaton's Center card room as guest speaker Ken Luciak of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (Regina Center) speaks about 5 atmospheric phenomenon and how they are explained and can be enjoyed without the use of a telescope. These include The Green Flash at Sunset, The Belt of Venus, Zodiacal Light, Gegenschein, and the Noctilucent Clouds. Ken will talk about the northern lights and comets, visible without the use of a telescope.

Coffee, tea and homemade goodies will be available following the talk. There is no fee to attend. Memberships are $20/year. Hope to see you there!
