Movie: Sinners

One of the year’s best, most talked about movies, Ryan Coogler’s Sinners is a thrilling, transcendent extravaganza of Southern Gothic horror. Set in the last years of Prohibition, it follows a pair of twin brother gangsters returning to the Mississippi Delta to open up a club for the black community, only to be set upon by vampires. Interrogating with blistering creativity themes of cultural heritage and appropriation against an outstanding mosaic of original blues music and intensely vivid action, the film stars Michael B. Jordan, Miles Caton, Hailee Steinfeld, Wunmi Mosaku, and Jack O’Connell.

Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 8:20.
