1,000 Generations Playtest

1000 Generations is a narrative-first role-playing game built on the Powered by the Apocalypse framework. Players become members of an Indigenous community in a fantastical world, filled with spirits, monsters, and magic. The world of 1000 Generations is a place where the land itself is a character, and reputation and relationships with the people and things around you define you. Everything is alive and teeming with possibility, mystery, and danger. This is a place of abundance when times are good and dire need when times are bad.

We are telling a story of heroic deeds, community, and resilience. The player characters are exceptional people living in extraordinary times, facing challenges that threaten everything they hold dear. These challenges could be internal struggles, external threats, or natural forces.

You’ll craft the story of your nation, community, and characters in the first game session. Then, you’ll begin crafting the story of your characters and how their people will remember them.
