This workshop introduces horse owners and professionals to the function of the biomechanics of the hind end as it pertains with the musculoskeletal anatomy of the horse.
Exploring the anatomy of the horses hind end and the specific muscle groups, fascia, and correlation to each and the skeletal structure! It is taught in an applied anatomy approach with function applied to the anatomy!
Students explore specifically the four large muscle groups of the hind end and the function of these muscles in equine biomechanics.
We also look at the sacrum, the si (sacroiliac) joint and the relationship to the pelvis, the sciatic nerve, and the various layers
and types of soft tissues i.e. fascia/ muscle.
Instructor also covers identify the different adhesions in the tissues and how they effect and influence the horses biomechanics!
