Come join us for a thought-provoking & interactive discussion on Islamophobia and its impact on individuals and communities. Participants will gain an understanding of what Islamophobia looks like in everyday life, from subtle bias to overt acts of discrimination, and why addressing it is essential for strengthening social cohesion and inclusion.
The session will also introduce the Islamophobia Register Australia, a national initiative that records and responds to incidents of Islamophobia. Attendees will learn how to recognise Islamophobic incidents, why reporting matters, and the step-by-step process of
lodging a report.
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
-Understand the forms and effects of Islamophobia.
-Be equipped to support those affected by Islamophobia.
-Know how to report incidents safely and effectively to the Islamophobia
Register Australia.
This is a practical, awareness-raising session designed to empower
individuals and organisations to stand against Islamophobia and
contribute to safer, more inclusive communities.
Don't miss this opportunity to be part of the conversation and make a difference in your community.
See you there!
