You're Invited to the Family Center of Washington County's 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck Event!
We are thrilled to announce the return of one of our most popular events — the Third Annual Touch-A-Truck, hosted by the Family Center of Washington County! This exciting, free, family-friendly event offers children and families a unique, hands-on opportunity to explore a variety of trucks, emergency vehicles, construction equipment, and more — all while connecting with the amazing people who operate them every day.
Why Touch-A-Truck?
Touch-A-Truck is more than just a fun morning — it’s an opportunity to bring our community together in a positive, educational, and interactive setting. Children are naturally curious about the big vehicles they see in their neighborhoods, and this event gives them a chance to explore these vehicles up close. They’ll get to climb inside, sit in the driver’s seat, and even honk the horn — all while learning about the important roles these machines and their operators play in our everyday lives.
New This Year: Quiet Hour (10:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
We are proud to introduce a new feature this year:
Quiet Hour, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
We recognize that loud noises, flashing lights, and sirens can be overwhelming for some children, especially those with sensory sensitivities or who are neurodivergent. During Quiet Hour, there will be no honking, sirens, or flashing lights, allowing children who need a calmer environment to fully enjoy the event at their own pace.
