Community Kayaking Evening Adventure
Monticello Parks and Recreation is partnering with Monticello River Rentals to bring you a Community Kayaking Adventure.
All Community Members are invited to join us for a kayak adventure evening. Time frame will be about 1.5-2 hours with a sandbar stop — perfect for all experience levels and ages. Youth (14 and under) must be supervised by a guardian.
Date: August 18th, 2025 - Monday
Start Time: 5:15 PM, on the water by 5:45pm. More logistics to be determined depending on participation.
Thank you to Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park for allowing us to launch there and end right before the dam.
Cost: To be determined by participation $10-20/kayak for kayak rental, life jackets and transportation from Monticello River Rentals. There are smaller kayaks available for rent - 8ft and 4ft. If you own or have access to a kayak, please still join us for the evening and bring your friends and family.
Bring snacks to eat along the way and a picnic to enjoy at the end of the float.
We will plan to make a stop on the water just before the dam and play in the water.
Pre-registration is required by August 13, 2025 to ensure we have enough boats for everyone. Let us know how many people so we can have enough kayaks ready to go.
