Event 2: It’s Real: Teens and Mental Health + Journaling Workshop
📅 Wednesday, Sept. 24 | 6:30–8:00pm | Doors open at 6pm
📍 KayBee Community Cafe (102 E. Lafayette St., Monticello, IL 61856)
It's Real is an AFSP program created for high school students (ages 14–18) and their parents. This 45-minute presentation covers mental health basics, warning signs, self-care strategies, and how reaching out to trusted adults can make a difference. Includes a free journaling workshop after the presentation.

Both events are free, thanks to support from the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation and Burgess & Cline. Attendees will receive a J.A.M.I.E. Bag (Just A Mental Inventory Everyday) filled with practical tools and resources, plus free refreshments and more.
