Here it is, the event you have all been eagerly anticipating is back! Gritty and his band of merry peeps are back for another year of celebrating all that is gravelly good in the mountains of Wright County. If you haven't experienced the breathtaking climbs and descents, you have truly been missing out. It's a distant third to the Pyrenees and the Alps, but not too shabby for central Minnesota. Best of all, no elevation acclimation! Yay!
Even more exciting is the latest offering in the Gritty race/ride portfolio. For those of you who enjoy gravel AND singletrack...it's the Gritty Biathlon. This consists of a 35-40 mile gravel loop plus a loop of the world famous Bertram Chain of Lakes Singletrack. How fun is that? So fun you'll need plastic surgery to remove the big grin off of yo face! Of course, this will be subject to weather, but Gritty has plan B for an adventure in the event of rain.
Best of all, Gritty is still free. Yes, he is a cheap old bird, but he has made it clear to the Gritty Board of Directors that this race/ride must remain free of charge. It's Gritty's mission to get more butts on gravel bike seats.
More details to come in the next few weeks, but below is the registration link. Gritty wants to get his nest in order before y'all come in droves and overwhelm the transportation infrastructure in the metropolis that is Monticello.
