Join the Maine State Museum and Friends of the Maine State Museum staff as we travel to sites throughout the state to share a first look at the exciting new (and returning) exhibits planned for the first phase of the museum’s Grand Reopening in 2026.

On September 6, we’ll be visiting the Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum (SAAM). After the the Maine State Museum presentation, attendees can tour SAAM’s campus of historic buildings and view an extensive collection of items relating to 19th-century farm life (including the “World’s Largest Potato Basket”).
