CEDH Tournament Schedule & Structure
We're excited to host regular CEDH tournaments to build a vibrant and engaged community! The tournaments will be held twice a month on the first or second Saturday and the second-to-last Saturday of the month. The goal is to keep the community active while giving players time between events to refresh. We’ll start with two tournaments a month, but if there's demand, we may move to weekly events.
Proxies will be legal for this event.
Tournament Details:
Entry Fee: $25
Start Time: 2 pm, store opens at one
Max Players: 36
Format: 3 rounds of Swiss, cut to Top 4 (or possibly Top 16 for events of 30 or more players)
Structure: Best of 1 per round. Players who arrive late will receive a round 1 loss.
Prizing:
1st: 40% of prize pool in credit
2nd-4th: 30% split of the prize pool in credit
5th-8th: Entry fee returned in credit (only at 24 or more players.)
Each event under 24 players will also have a give away eligible for players who don't make the top cut, determined randomly at the cut.
Tournament Day Schedule:
1:00 PM: Store opens
2:00 PM: Round 1 starts
3:20 PM: Round 1 ends
3:40 PM: Round 2 starts
5:00 PM: Round 2 ends
5:20 PM: Round 3 starts
6:40 PM: Round 3 ends
7:00 PM: Cut to Top 4
Prize Distribution Example (30 Players):
1st: $240 credit
2nd-4th: $60 credit each
5th-8th: $25 credit each
These numbers are determined after cost of judge.
With the support of Nick Blendea and the Topdeckers, tournament organization will be managed by volunteers from their community, with recognition for their group.
