Slow stitching is all about process over speed. It’s a calming, creative practice that blends hand sewing, mindfulness, and care—for both the maker and the materials. In this series, we’ll explore a variety of textiles while focusing on sustainability, relaxation, and the simple joy of stitching by hand.

Jan 10: Meditation Scroll-Relax and unwind while promoting focus and creativity as you learn about this calming craft....you will want to make more and more!
Jan 17: Kawandi-learn the ancient art of this quilt technique by designing and creating a mug rug sized mini quilt.
Jan 24: Mixed Media Brooch-create a wearable brooch with vintage and modern textiles, beads, charms, and embroidery. Let your imagination flow!
AGES, SKILL LEVEL & SUPPLIES
16+
Skill Level: all, including beginners
Supplies: Bring $5 cash to each class for supplies. OPTIONAL: You may bring fabric scraps, pieces of clothing, or charms, if they are meaningful to you, to incorporate into your project. This is entirely optional as there will be plenty of this for you to choose from to create a beautiful piece!
