Get to Know Your Sewing Machine
Feb 28, 2026 | 10:30am - 12:30pm
with Susie Skillman
$35
Have a sewing machine that’s been sitting quietly in a closet? Or a brand-new one you’re excited—but slightly intimidated—to use? This relaxed, hands-on class is the perfect place to begin (or begin again).
We’ll demystify your sewing machine and cover the essentials: threading, winding and changing the bobbin, replacing needles, understanding basic stitches and sewing terms, choosing the right fabric, machine care, and safe, confident operation. You’ll put your new skills into practice by sewing a simple drawstring bag to take home.
No prior experience needed—just bring your machine and your curiosity. Expect a supportive, low-pressure environment, practical instruction, and plenty of encouragement as you gain confidence and make some new stitchy friends!
Come learn, stitch, and enjoy the satisfaction of finally getting comfortable with your sewing machine.
