Dan Rodricks discusses the research that led to his third play about Baltimore, "No Mean City: Baltimore 1966," about the late Mayor (and Maryland governor) Theodore Roosevelt McKeldin, the championship Baltimore Orioles and the Civil Rights movement.
“No Mean City: Baltimore 1966,” part of Dan's trilogy of plays about his adopted hometown, is to be staged in March 2026.
Dan was a long-time columnist for The Baltimore Sun and a former local radio and television host who has won several national and regional journalism awards over a reporting, writing and broadcast career spanning five decades. He is the author of three books, including “Father’s Day Creek: Fly Fishing, Fatherhood and The Last Best Place on Earth”.(Apprentice House, 2019).
