Cox Monett Hospital invites the entire community to come together for a morning of better health and family fun at this year’s Community Live Well Screening.
The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 7 a.m. to noon in the lobby and parking lot of the CoxHealth Monett Clinic, located at 1000 E. Hwy. 60 in Monett.
“We are excited to welcome families back for this year’s event,” says Kallie Provost, RN, screening coordinator. “Our goal is to make it easier than ever for the entire family to take charge of their health together. We want this to be a morning that helps everyone feel cared for, connected, and supported.”
Reduced cost health screenings ($45):
-Complete blood count, comprehensive metabolic panel, full lipid profile (cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides), Hgb A1C (blood glucose), TSH (thyroid)
-PSA test (prostate cancer) for men ($15)
Please fast for 12 hours prior to the blood draw. Tests are performed on a walk-in basis and are self-pay. Only cash or checks will be accepted.
Additional safety and health screenings, fun activities, and giveaways:
-Free screenings: blood pressure, pulse oximetry, bone density, and EKG
-Education regarding stroke, heart health, and gun safety
-Participants can register to win prizes including an opportunity for children to win a free scooter
-Vaccinations
-Car seat safety checks (10 a.m. to noon)
-Gun locks and gun safe giveaway
-Safe Kids Worldwide® bike safety course with a helmet giveaway (10 a.m. to noon)
-Stop the Bleed (tourniquet information)
-Community partners: EMS, Fire, Police and Cox Air Care (9 a.m. to noon)
