The Attic Owl Reading Series thrilled to welcome the talented Richard Kelly Kemick who is launching his newest book! Come welcome and listen to this talented award-winning writer! One of the best things about the Attic Owl Reading Series is you get to meet real life writers who will inscribe a book just for you!
The Owl is also offering another Open Mic Night! We welcome creatives of all talents & levels - amateur, beginner, pro - to share what they love to do! That includes music, photography, visual art, song, comedy, acting, writing & more! All languages are welcome!
Doors open at 5pm. When you arrive, ask for the sign up sheet! Then, feel free to get a tasty meal, beverage or snack from our sponsors, the fine folks at Cafe C'est La Vie. The event will get underway around 5:30pm and continue until everyone has read or 7pm, whichever comes first. Looking forward to seeing you Sept. 24th!
Here are a few key ground rules:
The Owl is a safe space.
Absolutely no racist, discriminatory, violent, disturbing or disrespectful content.
Everyone gets between 3-5 minutes. If we go through the list and we have time left, the hosts will ask if anyone else wants to step up to the mic. Priority will go to those who haven't yet had a turn.
Be supportive to all our guests. It takes a lot of courage to perform.
No unasked for "needs improvement feedback." You may think you have some great advice, but this is not a workshop.
If you can, enjoy the evening with us and stay for the whole show.
