In the Wind to Tranquility Ride

We will visit Mepkin Abbey, where we can take a tour for $5 per person.
Tour starts at 11:30 and we need to be at the Abbey at 11:00am.
Lunch options after the tour are:
1. Bring a saddlebag picnic lunch and have lunch in the gardens…. No tables, just grass, bring a blanket or sit on brick wall.
2. Gilligan’s Seafood at the dock, Monks Corner 12 mile ride from the Abbey.
With your RSVP please list your dining preference and this will be added to final details closer to In the Wind to Tranquility Day.
Closed Event. Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of HOG chapter members. Closed events are those events open to chapter members and one guest per member. All guests must sign an event release.

Mepkin Abbey is a community of Roman Catholic monks established in 1949 on the site of the historic Mepkin Plantation located on the Cooper River, north of Charleston, South Carolina.
Founded by the monks of Gethsemani in Kentucky, the brothers of Mepkin belong to the worldwide Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance popularly known as Trappist.
Following The Rule of St. Benedict, the monks at Mepkin Abbey devote their lives to prayer, spiritual study, work and hospitality. Living by the work of their hands, the monks provide a livelihood for themselves and the poor.
