Free biking workshop for women - gain on-road confidence - Northern Beaches Council

Build the skills for safe and confident urban riding. Our course covers everything you need to confidently ride on city streets. Learn how to see and be seen, ride predictably, communicate clearly, and navigate bike-friendly streets.

This session will cover important road rules as well as riders' rights and responsibilities. With a focus on theory, you’ll also explore advanced road positioning and route planning. Plus, there will be an opportunity to experience road positioning firsthand on the street.

Workshop includes:

bike and helmet safety checks
an overview of bicycle road rules
tips on route selection, responsibilities and riding principles
riding practice in an enclosed area
a guided bike ride through local quiet roads
snacks and lunch
You must provide your own roadworthy bike and helmet.
