Matt has earned a reputation as one of Australia’s most respected songwriters, with more than two decades of storytelling to his name.
His songs—including favourites like Aussie As, 1868, Slanguage and The Aldi Song—have become part of the Australian soundtrack, blending heartfelt storytelling with cheeky humour.
On stage, Matt brings his songs to life with acoustic guitars, banjo and ukulele, creating intimate yet lively shows that connect deeply with audiences.
In 2025, Matt was awarded The Song Maker Award and enshrined on Tamworth’s prestigious Wall of Fame. His latest album, Patch Of Paradise, continues his tradition of capturing Australia in all its colour, character and green-and-gold spirit.
