This Saturday, February 7 at 12:00 PM, CalPride Stanislaus invites our community to come together in honor of Shirley Raines—known and loved by many as Ms. Shirley.
Ms. Shirley was the founder and CEO of Beauty 2 The Streetz and a powerful example of what mutual aid, compassion, and community care look like in action. Her passing has been felt deeply, and in her honor, we are serving free hot dog lunches to our community.
At 12:00 PM, teams will be set up at:
CalPride Stanislaus, 111 Modesto Avenue, Modesto
&
CalPride Headquarters, 1202 H Street, Modesto
We will also have mobile teams delivering meals to community members who may not be able to reach our pop-up locations. Our hope is to feed 250 folx, meeting as many people as we can where they are.
