Oktoberfest Comes to Amsterdam

This autumn, it’s finally happening: on Saturday, September 27, 2025, Amsterdam will welcome a brand-new and unique event Oktoberfest Amsterdam. For the first time, this famous Bavarian celebration is coming to our capital.

Amsterdammers will get the chance to experience Oktoberfest in their own city and at a truly special location: the Olympic Stadium. This iconic venue will be transformed into a festive Bavarian-style gathering, complete with long tables, schlagers, dirndls, Tyrolean hats, and of course, overflowing beer steins.

Visitors will feel as though they’re in a bustling Munich beer tent, while actually being inside one of Amsterdam’s most striking landmarks. “It’s not going to be a standard copy,” says a spokesperson for the organization. “Under the motto ‘From Munich to Mokum,’ guests will be immersed in the authentic Oktoberfest vibe, but with a distinctly Amsterdam twist. Think relaxed, open, cheerful – and just a little different. A celebration where tradition meets Amsterdam’s warm and welcoming spirit.”
