We're throwing a party to celebrate the return of Party Starter, our award-winning traditional German-style Märzen Lager! For the third year, we'll be hosting our Stein Holding Competition on Saturday, August 16th.
How does it work?
A full 1-liter Stein, is to be held with one arm, completely stretched out and parallel to the floor – the goal is simple: to hold the Stein up as long as possible. It’s a balance between the right technique and strength. The full 1-liter “Mass” weighs about 5 lbs.!
$25 entry fee gets you a FREE stein and FREE liter of Party Starter Märzen or Rewind Lager. We will hold two matches, Women’s and Men’s. (Must be 21 years or older to compete)
The first place winner from each match will receive a $50 Birdsong gift card AND gets to compete (and represent Birdsong!) at the State Finals in Charlotte on Saturday, October 11th at Gilde Brewery.
The winner of the men’s and women’s competition finals will be crowned the North Carolina Steinholding State Champions and will each receive a $500 prize!
