Sacred Harp is a 4-part harmony American folk singing tradition. There is no 'choir practice' and there is no 'final performance' - just sing to enjoy it. Beginners always welcome, of all voice types and experience levels. The tradition is drawn from Christian sacred music, but we are not affiliated with any religious organisation, and people from all faiths and none are welcome.
We will sing from the Denson 1991 Sacred Harp: spare books available on the day. Tea and coffee provided. Bring Your Own Travel Mug is recommended - the cups in the venue are teensy.
Participation free but donations welcome.
The building is locked in the evenings, so ring doorbell for entry!
