Adopt-a-Bookbag is part of Servant’s Heart’s annual Back2School Program which helps prepare struggling families for the upcoming school year. Supplies collected through the Adopt-a-Bookbag campaign will go directly to Servant’s Heart clients who registered for the Back2School Program. Servant’s Heart of Mint Hill is seeking the community’s help to set children up for academic success by filling bookbags with school supplies.
Through the Adopt-a-Bookbag campaign, Servant’s Heart provides donors with bookbags tagged with the supplies needed. Donors fill the bookbags with the supplies listed on the attached tag and return it to Servant’s Heart by Aug. 11. Bookbags can be delivered through Servant’s Heart front door (9229 Lawyers Road) between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Individual donors and community groups are encouraged to participate. Donors and groups can adopt more than one bookbag. We can help more students through a joint/group effort!
Since 2017, Servant’s Heart has distributed $164,395 in supplies to boost students’ and schools’ academic success rate. Servant’s Heart provided 399 filled bookbags to students last year.
