The Almaghoot Quintet is a boundary defying ensemble rooted in storytelling and shaped by the richness of diverse cultures. Founded by Syrian clarinetist and composer Ghaeth Almaghoot, the quintet embodies authenticity in their cross cultural musical dialogue.

Their debut project, Levantine Hues, is a deeply personal album that brings to life stories of longing and connection. Each composition is inspired by real life interviews or from Almaghoot’s own memories, turning lived experience into lyrical, microtonal soundscapes. In an ambitious artistic leap, Almaghoot writes Arabic microtonal music for the bass clarinet, an unprecedented and pioneering effort that fuses ancient musical traditions with modern sensibilities.
