Course Content:

▪️Identify & understand the competition venue (weigh-in room, rest area, warm up area, competition platform & anti-doping area).
▪️Understand the competition process from weigh-in, warm up strategy, counting attempts, using attempt cards, challenge cards and all the finer details of competition coaching.
▪️Identify & describe the key roles & responsibilities of being a competition coach.
▪️Identify & describe the different athlete management strategies when dealing with multiple athletes.

It has been highlighted that we have a gap in our coaching pathway from L1 in relation to mentoring qualified coaches and competition coaching education. This course will be led by Senior International Athlete & Coach Seán Brown with assistance from the WI Coach Education Team.

This is a pilot programme, therefore priced accordingly with plans to offer an online option also in the future if successful and if there is enough demand.
