Ecstatic dance offers a space for people to let go of inhibitions, connect with themselves and others, and experience the joy of movement in its purest form. It can be a deeply transformative and liberating practice for those who engage with it regularly.

Special guests SHIDO will be drumming for us.

*Parking in school lot across from hall.
*Please bring a water bottle & comfy clothes for movement.

Guidelines:
* Please Be Kind to yourself & others.
* Respect one another’s space.
* Zero Tolerance for Hate (this includes: zero tolerance for aggressive behaviour , racism, sexism, or harassment of any kind)
* Safe(r) space model
*No talking on the dance floor to create the experience.
*No phones on the dancefloor.

Ecstatic Dance takes place in Ottawa, on the unceded unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation whose presence reaches back to time immemorable. We honour in gratitude their past and present contributions to our lives on this land.

A little bit about your host:
Chana is a free spirit, artist and lover of life. She has been dancing for over 20 years and facilitating Ecstatic Dance journeys since 2021. She believes in the medicinal healing process of dance and brings this understanding and magic to her events. She curates a special playlist and invites those present to go on a deep journey.
Creating this experience is one her upmost deepest passion.

Chana loves people and connecting deeply and authentically.
She believes that love is the highest vibration and feels like it can heal the world.

For the past 5 years she has been doing outreach work with the homeless population, & as a peer support worker.
She is passionate about supporting those who are dealing with mental health struggles, addictions and homelessness.
