Join The Harriet Hancock Center for the Second Annual Legacy Gala, our celebration of LGBTQ+ resilience, community, and joy!
We’re returning to the Columbia Museum of Art on Thursday, Sept. 11 from 7:30 -10:30 PM for a night of delicious food by City Grit, an open bar, music, a wine pull, silent auction, a tribute to our elders, and an awards ceremony honoring those making a difference in our community today.
🍸This year’s theme, “Are You a Friend of Dorothy? No Longer a Secret, Never Again Silent” is a nod to the speakeasies and safe spaces our community built throughout history. These places of joy, safety, and resistance existed long before widespread acceptance or legal recognition.
Last year, 220 of you helped us raise nearly $40,000 to support LGBTQ+ programs in the Midlands. This year, we’re aiming even higher: $100,000. Every ticket, table, and donation helps us create safe, affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ youth and adults in our community. Let’s celebrate our legacy and protect our future.
