2025 Annual General Meeting + Community Gathering & Poetry Sharing Circle

Join us for our 2025 Annual General Meeting, followed by a community gathering and casual poetry sharing circle! 7pm, hybrid at the Origin Arts & Community Centre, or you can join online through Zoom (AGM portion only). Masks required in-person.
The AGM will take place from 7-8.30pm, with the community hangout and sharing circle from 8.30-10pm, to gather, connect, and celebrate our spoken word community in Ottawa.
The AGM is an opportunity to show support for what we do, have your voice heard, learn more about our organization, and stand for election to our organizing team if you wish. If you care about this community and about keeping the art of spoken word alive in Ottawa, please come out. We need folks like you to show up to support us so that we can make sure that we are serving our community the best we can and setting ourselves up for success.
You are considered a member of Urban Legends Poetry Collective, who can vote on decisions at this yearβs AGM and stand for election, if you are someone who:
- Has attended three shows and/or volunteered at two shows of the Urban Legends Poetry Collective in the past year; or,
- Was a member of the Urban Legends Poetry Collective Organizing Committee during the term preceding the AGM in question; and,
- Respects the Urban Legends Poetry Collective Code of Honour.
Anyone, member or not, is welcome to join to hear about how we will be running our collective in the next year and our plans for the future.
