The space is open for self directed play for you and your child. It provides an opportunity for, open-ended, shared play and creativity. A space that encourages children and their adults to explore a variety of materials.
Designed by artist Sarah Ward, our Shapes & Structures - Creative Response Space provides a relaxed environment that will help you and your child to further explore and engage in creative play, independently, or together with an artist.
Please note:
The First Floor Gallery space is open for self-directed exploration during August, Monday to Saturday, 11am-3pm.
An artist will only be present on Wednesdays during August.
All children under 13 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
11am-1pm Wednesdays in August | PhD research
Artist Sarah Ward is working on a PhD. Sarah designed and created the Shapes and Structures space as part of the practice research element of her PhD research with Draíocht. Sarah will be in the space on Wednesday’s in August observing young people at creative play and open to chatting about her practice, the space and her PhD. She will be doing her own making in the space.
