Senior Stroll - Mini-BioBlitz at Milliken State Park

Join a naturalist for a casual stroll through one of our state parks or local historic areas. Each month, we’ll focus on a topic related to natural or cultural history. Wear your walking shoes and dress for the weather – we’ll go out rain, snow or shine! Meet at the location designated in each individual program description (additional details will be provided with registration).
A bioblitz is a short, intense survey of the plants and animals in a certain area. This helps researchers get a snapshot of the wildlife at different times, so they can discern what might be around and make scientific investigation and management decisions. Become a “citizen scientist” – no experience or expertise necessary! – for this fun chance to help us learn more about our Milliken State Park denizens.
This is an outdoor event held rain or shine; please dress for the weather.
