Hey everyone,
Sending out a warm invitation to all you movers and groovers. Third Friday Dance is this Friday AND it's also the Summer Solstice at 8:41pm so we get to celebrate the longest day together.....hip hip hurray!!! I started creating this set when Ross and I were in Mexico several weeks ago and I had a blast watching what came flooding in for this one. Summer is my favorite time of the year and often want to dance to music that makes me happy and free......music that is funky and alive. I was talking to a friend about how I have been working on shifting my mindset and then I thought.... actually, I'm working on shifting from my mind to my heart...as in shifting to my heartset. "Wild Heartset" is the name of the set, with the symbol for a heart instead of the name:)
We welcome dancers and dance styles of all forms. This is a space where you can dance alone or with another or in groups as we all attune with ourselves, each other and the space. We imagine it will feel like a blend of restorative movement, contact improvisation and 5 Rhythms(ish). However, for safety reasons we'd like to limit this dance to only those 18 years of age and older.
When: 8-10pm Friday, June 20th Summer Solstice
Where: Tango Studio at the Avalon Ballroom
Enter through the PINK DOOR on the NorthEast exterior of the Avalon
Cost: $10 cash or venmo (@RossInBoulder) at the door
