Join John Corso-Esquivel, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Chair in the Art Department at Davidson College, for a gallery talk in Collidoscope: de la Torre Brothers Retro-Perspective. Corso-Esquivel will explore how the brothers’ exuberant, multimedia works challenge cultural narratives and engage themes of politics, religion, and Latinx identity with both humor and intensity. Before joining Davidson, he taught at Oakland University and served as the Critical Studies and Humanities Fellow at the Cranbrook Academy of Art.

This vibrant exhibition celebrates 30 years of groundbreaking work by internationally acclaimed artists Einar and Jamex de la Torre. Known for their dazzling glass and mixed-media sculptures, the de la Torre brothers create bold, immersive works that explore identity, religion, politics, and pop culture with both humor and depth.
