In a change to the previously advertised event this is now an afternoon talk in our Conference Room with no buffet. The talk is now free to attend but you may want to buy a ticket to ride the trains before the talk.
If you have previously booked and paid for the evening event we will be in touch shortly.
The three Blenkinsop/Murray models are believed to be the world's oldest locomotive models. Recent research has added further information about their history. The model now displayed at the Leeds Industrial Museum has been closely examined during the past twelve months revealing new information about its origin and purpose. The talk will be illustrated with detailed photographs of the model's components taken during the study, including those taken with a CT scan
