Urban Art Archive Workshop
About this Event
Documenting Centretown’s Street Art Together
Join the Urban Art Collective for a hands-on workshop where we’ll explore how to document, photograph, and preserve Centretown’s vibrant graffiti and mural scene.
Whether you’re an artist, archivist, photographer, or just passionate about public art, this session will walk you through the tools and techniques we’re using to build a community-driven urban art archive. You’ll learn how to contribute images, collect stories, and use your phone or camera to help document Centretown’s evolving visual culture.
We’ll cover:
- What to photograph (and how)
- How to submit images and stories using our mobile-friendly form
- Tips for capturing location data and image quality
- Ethical considerations when documenting street art
This workshop is part of the DISRUPT Urban Art Activations, in collaboration with the City of Ottawa and the Centretown BIA.
