About this Event
Find Your Robotics Team
Curious about how robotics builds future-ready skills? Join us for a team info night where families can explore two exciting programs:
- FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC): Like a startup, FTC teams are small, limited to a maximum of 15 students, and fast-moving. Students take on multiple roles from designing and building to coding and outreach. It’s ideal for those who want to try a bit of everything and see the full process.
- FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC): More like a large company, without a size limit, FRC teams are bigger and more specialized. Students focus on specific roles such as mechanical design, programming, media, strategy, or fundraising while building a large-scale robot and managing a complex project.
Each team operates like a business, with its own goals, style, and leadership. This event offers the opportunity to visit team spaces, ask questions, and find the best fit for your student’s interests and learning style.
Who Should Attend
- Students in grades 7–12 interested in robotics, engineering, programming, or hands-on STEM
- Parents or guardians looking to support their child’s academic and career exploration
- Educators and mentors who want to connect students with competitive robotics opportunities
- New families and returning families curious about what’s next or how to get more involved
