Boulder Swing Dance is winding down the summer with an event that celebrates community, live music and Lindy Hop! The Boulder Swing Break and Shake features a potluck park day, three tracks of Lindy Hop classes, competitions and dancing to live music from Jeremy Mohney and His Orchestra.

Community Picnic
Info: Get to know other dancers during a potluck lunch in Scott Carpenter Park! Boulder Swing will provide the entrees. Bring a side, drink, dessert or game to share!

Intermediate/Advanced Mini-Workshop
Info: Level up your dancing with a mini-workshop, taught by some of the areaโs finest instructors!
Classes will take place from 2-5:30 p.m. in the Avalon Ballroomโs Sodal Hall. The workshop costs $75, with an option to add a ticket to the dance for a discounted $15.

Contest Prelims
Info: The Boulder Swing Break and Shake will feature two divisions of mix-and-match competitions, contests that pair dancers with random partners for a chance to showcase their social dancing skills. Competitors do not need a partner to join these contests because they will be assigned partners for each round. Cash prizes will be awarded for first- ($100/dancer), second- ($50) and third-place ($25) results.
Entry to each contest is $10. A competitor may not dance in the same role in both events.

Info: Boulder Swing has spiced up its regularly scheduled Flatiron Stomp Dance Party! A drop-in beginner lesson will take place from 7-8 p.m. and is included in the price of admission.
