I’m thrilled to announce a NEW EVENT for Ecstatic Dance Charlotte called SANCTUARY IN MOTION starting once a month on Sunday Mornings.

My next collaboration with DJ DOBARAE will be on Sunday, 7/2/25, as we come together to plant seeds of intentions for 2025 through the transformative power of dance.

Meet DJ DOBARAE:

Dobarae Multi-instrumentalist, throat singer, song writer and rhythmic producer. Dobarae is about merging sounds and rhythm of spirit into a format for the body to dance. Blending primal energy with modern production, Dobarae’s sound is a journey- both grounding and transcendental. He has pulled inspiration and musical elements from around the world and infused them with timeless rhythms to allow space for the body to dance and to feel into the self. The music is safe space for the shadow self, and the enlightened self. Find space to let out darkness, and to embrace the light that is within.

Ceremonial CacaoWe’ll offer 1 oz. ceremonial cacao for purchase starting at 9:30 AM, creating a heart-opening ritual to prepare for the evening’s journey.

Intention Setting

Please bring an altar item for our collective intention-setting ceremony. We will introduce ONE altar spaces for a deeper and more immersive experience dedicated to the following:

1. Feminine: Honoring intuition, nurturing, beauty, and the cycles of life.
2. Masculine: Celebrating strength, logic, action, and protective energy.
3. Unity: Representing oneness, peace, and the beauty of diversity. This altar also honors our ancestors and the wisdom passed down through generations.

Doors open at 9:30 for Socializing and Cacao.

Admission: Sliding scale $25–$55 (event capped at 100 participants)

Be Free: Dance as you like, with no judgment.

Be Present: No phones or cameras.

Be Embodied: No talking or spectating.

Be Clear: This is a sober event—no intoxicants.

Be Consensual: Always listen for and respect “yes” or “no.”

Be Here: No outside shoes.

Be On Time: Doors close at 10:00 AM for the opening circle and meditation.
