About this Event

North Carolina and South Carolina—let’s circle up this Black Philanthropy Month!

Giving Back: The Soul of Philanthropy Reframed and Exhibited, a multimedia exhibit honoring Black giving in Charlotte and across the Carolinas, returns home this July —ten years after its powerful debut. We’re marking the moment with a statewide celebration of collective giving, community power, and the legacy of Black philanthropy.

Co-hosted by Community Investment Network, Philanthropy Together, and The Soul of Philanthropy CLT Homecoming in partnership with CoThinkk, COLA Gives and New Generation of African American Philanthropists (NGAAP), CircleUp Carolinas is a day-long gathering at the Charlotte Museum of History for members and supporters of collective giving groups—giving circles, collaborative funds, giving projects, mutual aid groups, and more—to come together for fellowship, learning, and joy. We’ll honor the past, present, and future of collective giving, a growing and evolving movement in Black communities in Black communities across the Carolinas and beyond.

This event is free and open to ALL members of collective giving groups and anyone looking to join the movement. Spread the word and invite others to join you at CircleUp! Space is limited.
