About

In this year and the next, hundreds of visual artists, designers, and other creatives (will) graduate from Dutch art academies.

Over the four years you’ve studied, you have developed your artistic signature, and in the final year, you’ve worked towards a final presentation, showcasing your work to the outside world for the first time. However, what often receives little to no attention is the entrepreneurship that comes with being an artist.

Therefore, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, Stichting Art Projects (known for initiatives like the Young Collectors Circle) and Kunstmest (consultancy focused at art in the public domain) are dedicating an entire day to help graduating artists like yourself level up upon leaving the academy.

10:30 Artist Talk by Sabine Marcelis

Sabine Marcelis is one of the most influential Dutch designers of her generation. After graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven, Marcelis gained international recognition through projects for fashion houses, museums, and architectural firms. She combines technical precision with poetic beauty, transforming spaces and objects into sensory experiences. With her distinctive signature and innovative approach, Marcelis continues to push boundaries within the contemporary design field.

11:15 Collector Talk by Bob van Eerd

For Bob, a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, art is an indispensable part of his life. Together with his wife, he has built an impressive art collection over the years. The couple owns a pied-à-terre, located in a former Holland-America Line hangar, where their passion for art is fully expressed. This unique living space houses an inspiring collection of works by both emerging and established artists from the Netherlands and abroad. The collection includes works by Marc Mulders, Katinka Lampe, Claudy Jongstra, Kalliopi Lemos, Marjan Teeuwen, Maartje Korstanje, and Ronald Zuurmond.
