About the speaker:Amy Elliott Bragg is a writer, speaker and public historian who loves to tell lesser-known stories about Detroit's urban life, architecture, infrastructure, and innovation, especially from the era before the automobile. She is the director of the Historic Elmwood Foundation at Elmwood Cemetery, where she leads the community-facing activities of Detroit's oldest rural cemetery, including its energetic tour program. A former journalist, she continues to write about Detroit history in her newsletter, the Little Detroit History Letter (link). She served as board president of Preservation Detroit from 2013 to 2018.
