Rebel Book Club Boulder x MONEY
About this Event
Welcome to the RBC Boulder event, where we'll be diving into July's theme, Personal Finance, through this month's read, , by Matthew Desmond.
Poverty isn’t accidental—it’s created by systems that benefit the middle and upper classes. Desmond makes the case that we’re all complicit in maintaining economic inequality.
Delicious drinks are included, as well as engaging storytelling and space for conversations and sharing your own journeys across countries and continents.
Interested? Want to join us at our July event?
Try out the club with Eventbrite - new customers only. Ticket price includes access to the Boulder Rebel Book Club event plus a welcome drink (alcoholic + non-alcoholic options available).
Your hosts for the evening
Joey Gigante
Joey is a marketing strategist who’s led campaigns for some of the world’s biggest brands. He’s always been a voracious reader — once getting in trouble as a kid for reading under his desk at school.
Drawn to books on cultural criticisms and society (and allergic to self-help books), Joey believes books expand our worlds and that discussing them with others makes the experience richer.
He’s leading RBC Boulder with the hopes of building something simple but powerful: chill vibes, smart conversation, and a space for people connect. If you leave each session thinking a little differently, mission accomplished.
Jay Dike
Expedition designer, entrepreneur, and wildlife conservationist, Jay thrives exploring the intersection of nature, innovation, and creativity. With roots in South Africa and a former London RBC member, he now wants to provide a welcoming forum for Boulder's diverse array of freethinkers to connect over epic, game-changing reads and engage in rich dialogues.
