Film Screenings "Ain't No Back to a Merry-Go-Round"

In the summer of 1960, brave protestors brought about the end of segregation at the privately-owned Glen Echo Amusement Park. On Saturday, February 7, 2026, Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture presents two FREE screenings in the Ballroom Back Room of award-winning filmmaker Ilana Trachtman’s documentary telling this compelling story: “Ain’t No Back to a Merry-Go-Round” (film duration approx. 90 minutes). A Glen Echo Park Civil Rights and History Tour with an National Park Service Ranger will be held at 10am, prior to the first screening.
