Steel Bender rake & ride

Join us for a half-day blocking a few braids along the first couple miles of Steel Bender 4WD route. We'll install several signs and fences along Mill Creek until we reach the slickrock climb out of the canyon that leads to the first intersection. Volunteers are welcome to climb the slickrock and the rest of Steel Bender (which has a difficulty of at least 6 out of 10), but some of us will just double back, which is why any high-clearance should suffice. Alternatively you can request a seat in another volunteer's vehicle by contacting the MTC chair, Clif Koontz (435-259-8334 or Clif at RideWithRespect dot org). Bring work gloves, boots, eye protection, sunscreen/hat, a warm coat, snacks, and at least two quarts of water. We'll meet in the dirt lot that's just north of the Shell station on Spanish Trail Road.
