Join us for a quiet moment of reflection at the indigenous healing garden before making our way through neighbourhood estates to the beautiful woods, wetlands, boardwalks and shingle beaches of Rattray Marsh Conservation Area. We will end the excursion back at Bradley House Museum to soak in a little history. For those who wish to see the interior of Bradley House, there are guided tours on the hour every hour led by Mississauga Recreation Staff, by donation starting at noon, first come first serve for up to 10 people at a time.
Meet at Meadow Wood Park at 9:40 close to the tennis courts. We will wait 5 minutes for stragglers before transitioning to Bradley House Museum grounds through the maple grove path. This leisurely 2 hour walk with beach snack break includes a mix of cement, wood, dirt and pebble paths along a 2 acre property with 4 heritage buildings, lush forests, marshland and Lake Ontario, with a beautiful view of Toronto’s skyline.
Bring:
- comfortable walking shoes with treads recommended
- sun & bug protection
- water & a snack
- gps to get back to your vehicle if you choose to separate
- cash for donation at your discretion if you would like to take a tour of the museum
