This training is for individuals who are the Safeguarding Lead for Third Sector organisations in Kirklees.
This half-day, in-person Trauma-informed training session, provides a foundational introduction to adversity, trauma and resilience. The session offers participants the opportunity to reflect on the kinds of trauma and adversity they are likely to encounter in their work, why taking a trauma-informed approach can make a difference, and how they can build on existing good practice using trauma-informed approaches.
This training is delivered by David Wise, a Trainer from The West Yorkshire Adversity, Trauma and Resilience (ATR) Programme, a partnership between West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership and the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Partnership,
This event is organised by TSL Kirklees - a local charity that gives free support, advice and training to any charity, community group or social enterprise in Kirklees - and is only open to any workers, trustees or volunteers from third sector organisations based or working in Kirklees. Our events and services are free because, like any other charity, we rely on grants and funding. If you have booked a place and then cannot make it, please cancel your place via Eventbrite or by emailing Y29tbXMgfCB0c2xraXJrbGVlcyAhIG9yZyAhIHVr, so that we can offer that place to someone else and so that our funding isn't wasted.
